Enter a world of Wizards, Jesters and clever predictions with Wizard, a classic trick-taking card game by Ken Fisher.

In every round, players look at their cards and predict exactly how many tricks they will win. Then the real challenge begins: play your cards carefully, follow the suit when required, use powerful Wizards at the right moment and avoid being fooled by the unpredictable Jesters.

The goal isn't simply to win the most tricks — it's to win exactly the number you predicted. Make the right prediction and score points; miss your prediction and lose points.

🎮 How to Play

1. Deal the Cards

Wizard is played over multiple rounds.

In the first round, each player receives 1 card. In the second round, each player receives 2 cards, then 3, 4 and so on until the final round.

2. Predict Your Tricks

After seeing their cards, players predict exactly how many tricks they believe they can win that round.

This prediction is crucial because your score depends on getting it right.

3. Determine the Trump Suit

A card from the remaining deck is revealed to determine the trump suit.

If a normal suit is revealed, that suit becomes trump. If a Wizard is revealed, the dealer chooses the trump suit. If a Jester is revealed, the round is played without a trump suit.

4. Play the Tricks

The player to the dealer's left leads the first trick.

Players must follow the suit that was led when possible. Wizards and Jesters have special rules that can dramatically change who wins the trick.

5. Use Wizards & Jesters Wisely

🧙 Wizard – Extremely powerful and normally wins the trick.

🃏 Jester – Normally loses the trick and can be useful when you don't want to take one.

These special cards make predicting your final number of tricks much more challenging.

6. Score Your Prediction

At the end of the round, compare the number of tricks you actually won with your prediction.

🎯 Exact prediction = points

❌ Incorrect prediction = penalty points

After all rounds are completed, the player with the highest score wins.
