The Mind: Soulmates is a cooperative card game where players must work together to place numbered cards in ascending order — completely face down. One player takes on the special role of the Seer, who secretly looks at some of the cards before play and provides limited clues to help the team.

As you progress through 12 increasingly challenging levels, your group must learn to read timing, trust intuition, and develop a shared sense of when each card should be played.

How to Play

1. Set Up the Levels

Place the 12 Level Cards in numerical order to create a face-down Level deck, with Level 1 on top.

Shuffle the 50 Number Cards, numbered from 1 to 50, and place them face down.

For a 3–4 player game, use all 4 Life Cards. In a 2-player game, use only 3 Lives.

2. Choose the Seer

At each level, one player becomes the Seer.

The Seer receives additional information that the other players don't have. Before the cards are dealt, the Seer can secretly look at a specific number of cards and then provide the team with a limited clue using the Hint Sheet.

The Seer role rotates between players as you progress through the game.

3. Deal the Cards

The Level Card tells you how many Number Cards are used for that level and how much information the Seer can receive.

The Seer distributes the selected cards among the players as evenly as possible.

Everyone may look at their own cards, but players cannot communicate about their cards.

4. Play Every Card Face Down

This is where Soulmates gets especially challenging.

Players must place their cards face down, one at a time, into a central pile.

The goal is to collectively play every card in ascending numerical order — from the lowest number to the highest.

You cannot speak, gesture, reveal your cards, or directly signal when you think someone should play.

Instead, everyone must rely on timing and intuition.

A low card such as a 5 should generally be played earlier, while a high card such as 41 should be held longer.

5. The Seer Checks the Order

Once every card has been played, the Seer secretly checks the pile.

If the cards are in the correct ascending order, the team successfully completes the level and moves to the next one.

If the cards are out of order, the team loses a Life.

6. Try Again

When a level is failed, the same cards are shuffled and dealt again.

The Seer can provide an additional clue, giving the team more information for their next attempt.

Your group must then try to synchronize their timing and get the order right.

7. Master All 12 Levels

The ultimate goal is to successfully complete all 12 levels.

If your team manages to reach the end, you've achieved the ultimate level of silent cooperation and can officially call yourselves Soulmates!
