Tap 4 is a fast-paced, strategic and highly interactive card game where the goal is simple: get rid of all your cards before your opponents do!

Play cards from your hand or your personal piles, build sets, clear the central Stack, and use special Tap In and Tap Out cards to change the game.

Easy to learn but full of tactical decisions, Tap 4 combines luck, strategy, hand management and player interaction in a compact game that's perfect for family game nights, parties and casual gatherings.

The 2nd Edition is designed for 2–6 players, ages 10+, with games lasting around 20+ minutes. It includes 114 cards and rules.

🎯 How to Play

1. 🃏 Set Up Your Cards

Shuffle the deck and deal cards to each player.

Each player creates personal piles in front of them, with some cards face down and others face up. The remaining cards form the player's hand.

Your objective is to get rid of all the cards in your hand and your personal piles.

2. 🏗️ Start the Central Stack

The first player plays a card to begin the central Stack.

The Stack is the shared pile in the middle of the table, and its top card determines what can normally be played next.

3. ⬇️ Play Equal or Lower Cards

On your turn, play one or more cards of the same number that are equal to or lower than the number currently showing on top of the Stack.

You can play cards from:

• 🖐️ Your hand
• 🃏 Your face-up personal cards
• 🎴 Your available piles as the game progresses

Choose your cards carefully — playing the right combination can help you clear your cards faster.

4. 4️⃣ Make Four & Shout "TAPPED!"

Whenever you create a set of 4 or more identical cards, you can TAP the Stack.

Shout:

"TAPPED!"

The Stack is cleared from play, and you get to continue your turn.

This is one of the most exciting moments in the game because clearing the Stack gives you a fresh opportunity to play.

5. ⚡ Use a TAP IN Card

Tap In cards are special cards that can act as a powerful shortcut.

Use a Tap In to claim and clear the Stack, allowing you to continue playing.

A well-timed Tap In can completely change the situation and help you get rid of difficult cards.

6. 😈 Use a TAP OUT Card

Tap Out cards are designed to disrupt your opponents.

When played on another player, the player receiving the Tap Out must lose their next turn.

Use it strategically when an opponent is close to getting rid of all their cards.

But be careful — special cards can carry significant penalty points if they're still in your possession when a round ends.

7. 📥 Pick Up the Stack

Can't play a legal card?

Or don't want to play?

You may have to pick up the entire Stack and add it to your hand.

This can dramatically increase the number of cards you have, so try to avoid getting stuck with a large Stack.

8. 🏁 Empty Your Cards

The round ends as soon as one player successfully gets rid of all their cards, including the cards in their personal piles.

The remaining players then count the points on the cards they still have.

9. 🏆 Lowest Score Wins

Unlike games where the highest score wins, Tap 4 rewards players for keeping their score as low as possible.

Number cards score according to their value, while special cards can carry larger penalties.

Continue playing rounds until the end-game condition is reached.

The player with the lowest total score becomes the TAP 4 winner!
