Take your Splendor Duel battles to a whole new level with The Counterfeiters, an expansion that introduces clever new mechanics, powerful Counterfeiter cards, shimmering Glassware tokens, and additional Royal cards.

The expansion adds a new layer of asymmetry and tactical decision-making without changing the core Splendor Duel experience. Every choice becomes more important as you decide when to use Glassware, which Counterfeiter cards to acquire, and how to race toward victory. Requires the Splendor Duel base game to play.

🎮 How to Play

1. Add the Glassware Tokens

Shuffle the 4 Glassware tokens into the existing gemstone tokens. They become part of the shared 5×5 token board and can be collected using the normal token-taking rules.

2. Introduce the Counterfeiter Cards

Create a separate row of Counterfeiter cards beside the regular Jewel cards.

These cards provide powerful special abilities, but acquiring them requires Glassware tokens, making the new resource an important part of your strategy.

3. Use Their Special Abilities

Counterfeiter cards can provide different types of benefits, including:

• ⚡ One-time rewards
• 🔄 Ongoing passive abilities
• 🪙 Special abilities that can be activated during your turns

Choose carefully—Counterfeiters can be extremely powerful, but collecting too many can make it difficult to manage their costs.

4. Add the New Royal Cards

The expansion introduces additional Royal cards, increasing the variety of Royal powers available during the game.

These new Royals can open up fresh strategic routes and give you new reasons to pursue Crowns.

5. Race for Victory

The original Splendor Duel victory conditions remain in place. Build your engine, collect Crowns and Prestige, and carefully plan your purchases while trying to stop your opponent from completing their own victory path.
