🎮 How to Play

1. Root – Fight for Control of the Woodland

• Choose your faction: Each player leads a different faction with its own unique abilities, strategies, and victory conditions.

• Build your empire: Recruit warriors, establish buildings, and control clearings across the Woodland.

• Battle your rivals: Fight opponents, take over territory, and disrupt their plans.

• Craft and score: Use cards and faction abilities to gain victory points and strengthen your position.

• Race to victory: The first player to reach 30 victory points—or fulfil a faction's special victory condition—wins!

2. Add The Riverfolk Expansion

• Play as the Riverfolk Company: Operate as woodland merchants, selling services and supplies to other factions while building trade posts to earn victory points.

• Lead the Lizard Cult: Spread your faith through gardens, recruit followers, and use the outcast suit to plan your actions.

• Try new Vagabond characters: Choose from the Arbiter, Scoundrel, or Vagrant, each with different abilities and strategies.
