🎮 How to Play

1. Root – Fight for Control of the Woodland

  • Choose your faction: Each player leads a unique faction with its own abilities, strategies, and victory conditions.

  • Build your empire: Recruit warriors, establish buildings, and control clearings across the Woodland.

  • Battle your rivals: Fight opponents, capture territory, and disrupt their plans.

  • Craft and score: Use cards and faction abilities to gain victory points and strengthen your position.

  • Race to victory: Be the first player to reach 30 victory points or fulfil your faction's special victory condition.

2. Add The Clockwork Expansion

  • Mechanical Marquise 2.0: Face automated cats that patrol the Woodland and expand their buildings.

  • Electrical Eyrie: Defend against an automated bird faction that can quickly spread its forces.

  • Automated Alliance: Stop an automated rebellion before it grows out of control.

  • Vagabot: Hunt down this wandering automated Vagabond or try to win its favour with items.

  • Adjust the challenge: Each automated faction offers three difficulty levels, with optional trait cards that add special powers.
