Project L + Expansion (1-6 Players)

Project L Kickstarter Edition is a fast-paced, satisfying puzzle and engine-building board game where players use colourful acrylic pieces to complete increasingly challenging puzzles.

Start with a small selection of basic pieces, then strategically upgrade your piece supply, place pieces efficiently, and complete puzzles to gain new pieces and victory points. As your engine grows, you become capable of solving larger and more complex puzzles with greater efficiency.

🎯 How to Play

1. 🧩 Start With Basic Pieces

Each player begins with a small supply of basic acrylic pieces.

Your goal is to use these pieces to fill the recessed spaces in puzzle boards.

2. 🔨 Choose Your Actions

On your turn, you have three actions to develop your personal puzzle-solving engine.

Depending on the situation, you can:

• 🧩 Place a Piece – Put one of your pieces onto a puzzle.
• ⬆️ Upgrade – Exchange a smaller/basic piece for a more powerful piece.
• 🎯 Take a Puzzle – Choose a puzzle from the available options.
• ✅ Complete a Puzzle – Finish a puzzle by completely filling its spaces.

The special Master Action gives you additional flexibility, allowing you to repeat an action when you need it most.

3. 🧠 Build Your Engine

Completing puzzles is more than just scoring points.

Many completed puzzles provide new pieces, allowing you to expand your personal supply.

A small piece may help you complete an easy puzzle at the beginning, while upgraded pieces allow you to solve larger puzzles much more efficiently later in the game.

4. ⬆️ Upgrade Your Pieces

As your collection grows, upgrade your pieces to gain access to larger and more useful shapes.

Better pieces allow you to fill puzzle spaces faster and make more efficient use of your actions.

5. 🏆 Complete More Difficult Puzzles

Project L's puzzles use a triple-layer recessed design, making the physical act of fitting the pieces extremely satisfying.

Complete puzzles to earn victory points and/or additional pieces, depending on the puzzle.

The more efficiently you build your engine, the more powerful your future turns become.

6. ⚡ Maximize Every Action

The heart of Project L is efficiency.

You need to think about:

• Which puzzle should you take?
• Which piece should you upgrade?
• How can you use your pieces most efficiently?
• Which puzzle will give you the best reward?
• When should you use your Master Action?

A good player isn't simply completing puzzles — they're building an engine that makes every future action more valuable.

7. 🏁 Finish the Game

When the game reaches its ending condition, players calculate their victory points.

The player who has accumulated the most points wins!
