Take your HEAT: Pedal to the Metal racing experience onto two challenging new tracks with Heat: Rocky Roads. Race through the South Africa Grand Prix, where loose gravel creates dangerous driving conditions, and the Germany track, featuring fast-paced chicanes. The expansion also introduces the Sliding Skirt innovation and adds components for another racer.
⚠️ Important: Heat: Rocky Roads is an expansion and is not a standalone game. The original Heat: Pedal to the Metal base game is required.
🎮 How to Play
🏁 1. Choose Your Track
Add the Rocky Roads board to your HEAT collection and select one of the two new circuits:
🇿🇦 South Africa Grand Prix – Watch out for loose gravel that can affect your racing line and force careful decisions.
🇩🇪 Germany – Navigate newly built chicanes along the long straightaways while managing your speed and heat.
🚗 2. Add the New Racer
Rocky Roads includes an additional race car, gear pawn, player mat, and supporting cards, allowing another player to join your races.
🪨 3. Manage the Gravel
The South Africa circuit introduces gravel sections, adding another hazard that racers need to account for while planning their movement and managing their cars.
🏎️ 4. Master the Chicanes
The Germany track features fast chicanes that make speed management and positioning particularly important. Plan your cards carefully to avoid losing valuable momentum.
🛠️ 5. Upgrade Your Car
Use the new Upgrade cards to customize your car and find combinations that suit your racing strategy. Rocky Roads adds 15 Upgrade cards to the game.
🏆 6. Race the 1966 Championship
The expansion adds content for the 1966 Championship season, giving players another way to experience the HEAT championship system.
🪽 7. Use the Sliding Skirt
The new Sliding Skirt innovation provides another strategic tool that can help you surprise opponents and make clever moves during a race.
