Step into the world of animated entertainment with FlipToons, a fast and fun deck-building card game where you become a talent agent searching for the perfect cast of cartoon characters.

Build your deck with quirky Toons, flip them into a 3×2 screen grid, discover surprising character combinations, and earn Fame for your studio. Some characters work brilliantly together, while others have absolutely no on-screen chemistry!

🎬 How to Play

1. Build Your Starting Deck

Each player begins with a small deck of 6 starting Toon cards.

These hopeful actors aren't necessarily superstars yet, but they provide the foundation for building your animated studio.

Your goal is to gradually replace them with more powerful Toons from the market.

2. Flip Your Toons

At the beginning of each round, shuffle your entire deck.

Then reveal cards one at a time to create your 3×2 screen grid, starting from the top-left and filling the grid.

You normally reveal six Toons, but special abilities can cause cards to stack, move, flip, or otherwise interact with the grid.

3. Activate Toon Talents

Every Toon has its own Talent.

Some abilities activate immediately when the card is revealed, while others depend on where the Toon is placed or which characters are next to it.

This is where the real strategy comes in.

A Toon that looks ordinary on its own might become incredibly valuable when paired with the right characters.

4. Check Your Fame ⭐

Once your Toon grid is complete, calculate the Fame generated by your cast.

Your Fame depends on:

• The Fame printed on your Toons
• Character combinations
• Position within the 3×2 grid
• Special Toon abilities
• Cards that interact with neighboring characters

The better your cast chemistry, the more Fame you can generate.

5. Visit the Market

After each Flip, players use their Fame to improve their decks.

You get two Market actions and can use them to:

Hire a Toon:
Spend the required amount of Fame to purchase a new Toon from the market and add it to your deck.

Dismiss a Toon:
Spend Fame to remove an unwanted Toon from your studio and improve the quality of your deck.

6. Build Your Perfect Cast

As you purchase stronger Toons, your deck becomes more powerful.

Look for combinations that complement one another and build a cast capable of generating huge amounts of Fame.

But be careful — not every Toon works well with every other Toon!

7. Impress the Critics 🏆

The first player to generate 30 or more Fame in a single Flip earns the Critic's Choice award and triggers the end of the game.

After the current Market phase is completed, everyone gets one Final Flip.

The player who generates the most Fame during the Final Flip wins the game!
