š® How to Play
š 1. Set Up the Game
Deal each player 4 cards face down. Players may secretly look at 2 of their own cards once and must remember them. The cards stay face down during the round.
Place the remaining cards face down as the Draw Pile and place one card face up beside it as the Discard Pile.
š 2. Take Your Turn
On your turn, choose one of these actions:
Draw a Card:
Take the top card from the Draw Pile. You can use it to replace one of your cards, activate its special ability, or discard it.
Take from the Discard Pile:
Take the top face-up card and exchange it with one of your cards.
Call CABO:
If you believe you have the lowest score, call "CABO!" instead of drawing. The other players get one final turn before scoring.
š 3. Use Special Cards
Peek ā Look at one of your own face-down cards.
Spy ā Look at one card belonging to another player.
Swap ā Exchange one of your cards with another player's card without looking at either card first.
š§ 4. Remember & Deduce
The challenge is that most of your cards remain hidden. Remember the cards you've seen and pay attention to the cards other players draw, discard, and exchange.
š 5. Score the Round
When the round ends, everyone reveals their cards and adds their values.
The player with the lowest score wins the round. The Deluxe Edition uses modified scoring rules, including a 10-point penalty for an incorrect CABO call.
š 6. Win the Game
Continue playing rounds and recording scores. The goal is to keep your total score as low as possible. Under the Deluxe Edition rules, the game ends when a player exceeds 100 points, and the player with the lowest total score wins.
